In order to extend the service life of the water pump, users have put in a lot of effort, from correct use to daily maintenance, and then to future preservation. Every step is not taken lightly. However, in actual use, there are still situations where water pump failures occur. Therefore, water pump manufacturers share some precautions for daily maintenance of water pumps, hoping to provide assistance to users.
Precautions for daily maintenance of water pumps:
1. When installing the water pump, do not make the power cord too long. When the unit is submerged, do not put force on the cable to prevent the power cord from breaking. Of course, when installing the submersible pump, do not sink it into the cement, otherwise it may cause poor heat dissipation of the motor and burn out the motor winding.
2. When choosing a water pump, it is even more important to choose a submersible pump product with the appropriate specifications and models according to one's own usage needs, because if the selected specifications and models are not appropriate, the water pump may not achieve the expected use effect, and at the same time, it may have the opposite effect, affecting the service life of the water pump.
3. Regularly check the motor. Once cracks, damaged or ineffective rubber sealing rings are found on the lower cover of the water pump or motor, they must be replaced or repaired in a timely manner to prevent water from seeping into the machine.
4. Try to avoid starting up at low voltage. The power supply voltage should not differ from the rated voltage by more than 10%. If the voltage is too high, it can cause the motor to overheat and burn out the windings. If the voltage is too low, the motor speed will decrease and not reach 70% of the rated speed. The centrifugal switch will close when starting, causing the starting winding to be energized for a long time and generate heat or even burn out the windings and capacitors. Therefore, do not frequently switch on and off the motor.
